Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thang'wa has claimed that the huge turnout of Kiambu residents at State House on Wednesday would not have any major impact on the political landscape of the region, as they had been paid.

Taking to social media after the event, Thang'wa even thanked the residents for presenting themselves at the event and earning the money.

Similarly, however, he claimed that their respective MPs had short-changed them by paying them Ksh6,000 instead of the budgeted Ksh10,000 for ferrying them to the Head of State's residence.

He encouraged those affected to speak to their MPs about the additional Ksh4,000 they were reportedly owed.
