The Ulinzi Stars captain, Boniface Muchiri, has been promoted to corporal in the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).
The promotion from senior private was announced by military sources and was officially conferred by Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF), General Charles Kahariri, on August 27, 2025.
General Kahariri praised Muchiri's discipline and excellence while serving Kenya and, by extension, the KDF.
The promotion is in recognition of Muchiri's outstanding performance as a Harambee Stars striker at the ongoing 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
