Former nominated senator Gloria Orwoba has been released on a KSh 10,000 police cash bail following her arrest outside the Parliament Building on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
According to the police, Orwoba was arrested and taken to the Central Police Station in Nairobi, where she was processed before being released on bail pending charges of causing a disturbance and obstructing justice. "She was released pending the possibility of being arraigned with obstruction of justice and creating disturbances," a Nairobi police boss said adding that the Ksh10,000 cash bail was sufficient for the alleged offenses.
In an online post on Wednesday evening, Orwoba stated that she was being held at Central Police Station.
