The Kenya Meteorological Department has announced continued occasional cold and cloudy conditions over several parts of the country for the next five days, from Friday this week to Tuesday, next week.
In its wekly weather advisory published on Friday, August 29, Kenya Met warned of cold weather over parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the South-eastern lowlands and the Rift Valley.
According to the weather department, temperatures in the Highland East counties of Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu and Tharaka Nithi would flactuate betwen 5°C and 7°C.
Additionally, in Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo Marakwet, temperatures were expected to drop up to 8°C.
