President William Ruto has urged Kenyans to unite in the fight against corruption, saying no title, rank, office, or region would shield anyone from accountability.
Speaking in Kapsabet, Nandi County on Saturday, August 30, during the installation of Catholic Bishop John Lelei, Ruto said Kenya could only make meaningful progress by ending division, tribalism, and graft. "If we work together and eliminate corruption, theft of public property, and divisive politics, we will transform this nation.
And I am confident, believe in the greatness of this country," he said.
His remarks come on the back of establishment of a multi-agency team to fight corruption, comprising EACC, ODPP, the Asset Recovery Agency and other top institutions.
