Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Righathi Gachagua has warned the public against purchasing 2,000 affordable housing units in Ong'ata Rongai, saying they risked being evicted in the next few years.
Gachagua spoke at a Sunday Service at St Peter's ACK Cathedral in Ong'ata Rongai, where he alleged there was a plot by the government to forcefully claim a 152-acre piece of land belonging to the church.
According to Gachagua, the said piece of land was the one being used for the construction of affordable housing by President William Ruto's regime. "Those houses that are being built are not affordable housing.
They are commercial houses.
