The United Opposition has appointed Dr Mukhisa Kituyi, a former Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), as its Spokesperson and head of the Opposition Secretariat.

The United Opposition, comprising former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, People's Liberation Party leader Martha Karua, and Wiper Patriotic Front party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, appointed Kituyi following a meeting at the SKM Headquarters in Karen on Wednesday.

The meeting saw the attendance of other key leaders in the United Opposition, including former CSs Justin Muturi, Fred Matiang'i, and Eugene Wamalwa. ''The United Opposition has appointed Dr Mukhisa Kituyi as their spokesperson and the Head of the Opposition Secretariat,'' the brief statement by the leaders read.
