The Ministry of Gender, Culture, and Children Services has confirmed the disbursement of Ksh1.78 billion that will cater for the June and July 2025 Inua Jamii programme for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC).
In a statement on Monday, September 8, Principal Secretary, State Department for Children Services, Carren Ageng'o, confirmed that 445,940 beneficiaries of the cash transfer programme will receive Ksh4000 that will cover the two months.
Ageng'o noted that the payments have kick-started today, and are being made through contracted service providers across the country. "This disbursement covers stipends for both the June and July 2025 payment cycles.
Each beneficiary household will receive Ksh. 4,000, representing Ksh. 2,000 per month for the two (2) months.
