Police have arrested ten suspects in connection with a violent attack on Emakale Police Post in Matungu Sub-County, Kakamega County.
According to a police report, the arrests follow an incident in which a group stormed the police post, raided an officer's house, and destroyed public documents along with personal property. A joint operation conducted on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, by officers from Matungu Police Station and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) resulted in the apprehension of the suspects.
The National Police Service has warned that violence targeting police officers and facilities will not be condoned.
It cautioned that anyone found interfering with officers on duty or damaging government property will face swift action.
