The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) has revealed further information regarding the fatal shooting of two people by an off-duty police officer in Makongeni, Thika, on Sunday.
In a statement on Tuesday, the IPOA revealed that the officer involved is attached to the DCI Headquarters Economic and Commercial Crimes Unit.
The deceased were Kennedy Ojuma and Stephen Mwendwa, a boda boda rider, and his pillion passenger.
The officer had been involved in a minor accident with them moments earlier.
