Motorists and thousands of travellers were stranded on the Nakuru-Nairobi highway near Gilgil following yet another accident on Monday. The incident, which came just a day after a similar spate of accidents on the same stretch, caused a major traffic snarl-up on one of the country's busiest roads.
According to eyewitness reports, the accident involved two lorries and occurred between Kikopey and Gilgil. The crash caused significant damage, leaving the affected section impassable as recovery efforts got underway.
