Students willing to study at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), Lodwar campus, have been invited to apply for a scholarship opportunity to pursue an Upgrading Diploma in Community Health Nursing (Distance Learning).

In a statement on Monday, September 29, the college revealed that it had partnered with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and the county government of Turkana to offer the scholarships.

The scholarship is, however, only open to residents of Turkana County, including the refugees in Kakuma and Kalobeyei Refugee Camps. "The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), in collaboration with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and the County Government of Turkana, is offering training opportunities for an Upgrading Diploma course in Community Health Nursing (Distance Learning) commencing September 2025 in the 2025/2026 academic year," the statement read in part.
