Kakamega County government has announced plans to hire more than 265 medical personnel in a fresh recruitment bid aimed at boosting healthcare delivery in the region.
The declaration of vacancies was made public through a notice issued by the County Public Service Board on Monday, calling on qualified applicants to submit their applications before the October 10 time limit. According to the notice, the recruitment drive would seek to hire a wide range of health professionals, with doctors featuring among the largest number that would be considered.
A total of 18 medical officers will be recruited to strengthen service provision in public hospitals across the county and address the existing staffing gaps in both primary and referral health facilities.
