Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has lashed out at key infrastructure priorities that were done under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta after huge congestion were experienced as Kenyans travelled home for Christmas.

Speaking during the funeral service of the late Mama Anne Nanyama, the mother to National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, on Friday, January 3, Mbadi questioned how decisions to fund key infrastructural projects were arrived at under the previous regimes.

According to the CS, as a result of the mishaps in the fiscal decisions, the current government has been forced to carry the blame. ''We borrowed money to do roads up to some villages, but some people take minutes to reach their villages, while on an important road like the Nakuru Nairobi Highway, no one saw the need to make it a dual way,'' Mbadi stated.
