The police, in collaboration with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), arrested one suspect believed to be part of a carjacking ring that has been stealing from motorists along Nairobi's Southern Bypass on Friday, January 3.

The arrest is in response to a string of robbery incidents against motorists along the route that spiked during the holiday season.

This sting operation was spearheaded by the Regional Criminal Investigations Officer, along with sleuths from Lang'ata and Dagoretti Police Stations, who put up patrol activities in the area.

As a result, the coordinated effort led to the swift arrest of a suspect who brazenly attempted to rob unsuspecting drivers on Thursday, January 2, along this stretch of road connecting Ole Sereni to Kikuyu.
