A foundation that sponsors vulnerable students in Meru County held a mentorship programme for their learners with a view of evaluation of their progress as well as addressing challenges facing them in the cause of their studies.

Speaking during the event held in North Imenti, Meru County, Kamashinani Foundation's Director Kathuri Murungi who doubles up as the County Senator as well as the Senate Deputy Speaker said he was pleased to embark on a journey of growth, learning, and empowering at least 180 students through this mentorship program.

He said the initiative was targeting to create great future leaders, innovators, and changemakers not only in the county but Kenya and the world at large. "I want to acknowledge the hard work and determination that have brought each one of you to this point.

You have already shown remarkable commitment to your education and personal development, and we are here today to help you take the next step in your journey," said Mr Murungi.
