A 34-year-old man died after he was trampled by elephants while on his way home in the Lolgorian area of Trans Mara South Sub County.
Children who were on their way to school discovered the remains of the man on their way and alerted the neighbours, who later called the police.
Narok County Police Commander Riko Ngare said the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) rangers had established that indeed the man was killed by a herd of elephants from Nyakweri forest. "Body pieces were found scattered on the scene.
They were collected and taken to Trans Mara West Sub County hospital morgue for preservation awaiting postmortem," he said.
