Youths have been challenged to embrace online jobs to earn a living and improve their welfare in the larger economic growth.

Undoubtedly, in the region, Kenya towers above the rest in internet connectivity, boasting six submarine cables that start in Mombasa with a robust plan to install 100,000km of high-speed fiber optic infrastructure, but more needs to be done, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

The government has an elaborate plan to reinvigorate the digital economy as espoused in the Kenya National Digital Master Plan 2022-2032.

It includes the establishment of 25,000 internet hotspots across the country to provide internet services to innovators, youth, and entrepreneurs.
