The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Selection Panel Chairman, Nelson Makanda, has invited shortlisted candidates for interviews starting on Monday, March 24, as the process to appoint the IEBC commission continues.
In an official notice dated Friday, March 14, Nelson Makanda published the final list of shortlisted candidates, reducing the number of candidates for the chairperson position from the previous 37 to 11, who have now been invited for interviews. "Now, therefore, the Selection Panel hereby publishes the names of applicants shortlisted for the position of Chairperson and Member of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, as well as the date and time for the respective oral interviews," the notice partly read.
Among the 11 candidates invited for the oral interviews are Abdulqadir Lorot H.
Ramadhan, Anne Atieno Amadi, Charles Ayako Nyachae (a former judge of the East African Court of Justice (EACJ), and Edward Katama Ngeywa (PWD).
