Panic and shock engulfed parents and students of Lugulu Girls' School in Bungoma after the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) withheld the school's 2024 KCSE results.

The development, confirmed by the school's principal, Dinah Cheruiyot, left parents and students of the top national school, who had been eagerly awaiting the results, in limbo as they deliberated on their next course of action.

The news was unexpected for the Lugulu Girls' community, a school renowned for its strong academic performance.

In the 2023 KCSE results, the institution achieved an impressive mean grade of 9.328, with one A plain, 63 A-, and several other quality grades.
