The Curriculum for the Technical and Vocational Education Training Institutions is set to change as the institutions will now be training for three months in some skills and certifying a student.

Esther Muoria explained that the curricula would be broken into microparts, as per proposal, of which it would be thoroughly scrutinized in a consultative meeting to be held soon with TVET Principals. "I have invited TVET Principals to Nyeri National Polytechnic; I am going to sit with them and we are going to reach a consensus on the way forward," she said.
The PS noted that the students can now, after the three months, go to the world of jobs with a certificate and can still continue for six months to get another certificate.
