Kakamega County Governor, Fernandes Barasa, yesterday, honored an invitation from the Muslim faithful at Emanani Munawwarah Masjid in Mayoni Ward, Matungu Sub- County, where he joined them for Maghrib prayers and Iftar.
The gathering served as an opportunity to reflect on the values of unity, compassion, and community development, as the Holy Month of Ramadan was culminating with the celebration of Eid Ul-Fitr,today.
Governor Barasa commended the Muslim community for their devotion and highlighted the significance of fostering interfaith harmony and inclusivity within Kakamega County.
He assured that his Administration is committed to supporting all religious groups in their pursuit of social and economic development. "As we share in the spirit of Ramadhan, we are reminded of the importance of unity, kindness, and service to humanity.
