Khwisero Member of Parliament Christopher Aseka has promised to continue with the Matawa-Indangalasia road upgrade from May this year as part of the ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure in the area.

Aseka said the initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance transportation networks and boost economic activities in the region.

Speaking over the weekend during a church service at Mumias Central SDA, Aseka emphasized that the improved road conditions would support farmers in transporting their produce more efficiently, ultimately strengthening food security. "We will strive to carry out countywide maintenance of roads to ensure our farmers can transport their goods to market without straining," he stated.

Additionally, the MP confirmed that road maintenance will also be undertaken in Mjini, Lukoye, and Shibale to improve accessibility and ease the movement of residents and traders.
