Migori County Secretary, Oscar Olima, has promised that the County government will work closely with bar and hotel management to address some of the complaints and grievances raised by their business Association.
A fortnight ago, the Migori County Basr and Hotels Owners Association (MICOBAH) protested on business permits and licenses hiked fee that has been rising since 2023.
Speaking to the media, Olima expressed gratitude to the Hotel Association for calling them out, adding that all the complaints were taken positively. "We have heard the cry of the Association, and we have taken the complaints positively and going forward, we promise to work together to iron out those grievances," said Olima.
Olima, however, urged the Hotels' Association Heads to focus on addressing them formally by writing official complaint letters instead of condemning the County leadership in the media.
