President William Ruto has told Kenyans that he will concede defeat if he loses the forthcoming general elections scheduled for August 2027.  Speaking in Othaya, Nyeri County, on Saturday, April 5, the Head of State told the residents that he was ready to go home and farm if he failed to meet their expectations.

Ruto, who spoke during the inspection of several government programmes in the Mt Kenya region, including the affordable housing projects, exuded confidence in winning the polls, stating that he was ready to face his competitors.

He, however, called on the government critics to allow him to deliver his promises to Kenyans, maintaining that the campaign period for the 2027 polls was yet to commence.
