As heavy rainfall above 50mm in 24 hours continues to pound across several parts of the country, waves of destruction have been reported in some areas across Murang'a south sub county.
In Maragua area the banks of river Maragua have broken leading to destruction of crops with some having been washed downstream.
In Kenol's Kagaa and Kimorori areas, business premises are flooded while residential areas have become inaccessible to the residents.
The residents have indicated that it has become habitual for flooding every time there is heavy rains and are calling on the government to move with speed and get a permanent sustainable solution before more losses are recorded.
