Association of National Government Administration of Kenya (ANGAK), a welfare for National administrators, will be expanded and transformed into a professional body, Principal Secretary for Interior Raymond Omolo has said.
The Association that has over 339 administrators drawn from all over the country including retired officers, has been providing financial support to members during emergencies and given the administrators a collective voice and support while supporting government agenda.
Dr Omolo said this during the ANGAK 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM) that was held at a Machakos hotel, where he noted that by implementing such initiatives for a welfare, ANGAK can evolve from a primary welfare society into a fully-fledged professional body of Government administrators. "Time has come for us to expand the membership and we need to transform this platform not just for social support but for exchanging knowledge and professionally grow as administrators," added Omolo.
He disclosed that after several meetings with the leaders of the association and from the last AGM, the main proposal discussed was to professionalise the association as ANGAK is ready to grow and expand its boundaries. "As your patron I am happy to hear such proposals which are forward thinking ideas where ANGAK is ready to grow beyond its original mandate," said Omolo.
