North Eastern regional commissioner John Otieno has commended security agencies in the region for their dedication to duty that has thwarted several planned Al-Shabaab terror attacks in the area.
Otieno said there are a number of would-be attacks by the Somali based terror groups that have been neutralized by "our gallant' security agencies which go unreported.'' "Our security agencies have done tremendously to secure this region.
Several planned attacks have been thwarted.
If it were not for our dedicated multi agency security teams, we would have witnessed more attacks than what we are experiencing now," Otieno said.
