Women in Kericho have been urged to step out of the shadows and into the spotlight of competitive sports, as leaders rally behind a groundbreaking football tournament aimed at boosting their confidence, health, and leadership potential.

Speaking to Kenya News Agency while officially inaugurating the coveted high-energy Ann Too ladies' tournament at Kericho Teachers Training College stadium, Betting, Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) Director Ann Too urged women in Kericho and across the country to seize sports as a tool for empowerment and transformation. "As a woman, I have seen what others go through, and unfortunately, many times, they are forgotten.

It's time we give women the platform to showcase their talents in football, not just as a sport, but as a path to healing, growth, and leadership," she said.
