Clinical officers in Turkana County have called on the county government to honour its promise to promote them.
Last April, the union members marched from Lodwar County Referral Hospital through Lodwar Town to the county government headquarters, demanding an audience with the governor and members of the public service board.
The governor addressed them and promised to look into their grievances.
Their union representative, Joseph Chebii, said like other civil servants they are entitled to promotion after every three years according to the scheme of service and other considerations like professional courses undertaken. 'The delays in promotions are affecting the morale of the health workers,' said Chebii.
