The 2027 General Election could see an even broader field of presidential contenders, with the latest twist being Embakasi East MP Babu Owino hinting at a possible joint presidential bid with his Kiharu counterpart, Ndindi Nyoro.
Speaking during a breakfast show on Hot 96, the vocal lawmaker revealed that many of his supporters have been urging him to go for the presidency.
According to Babu, having been a leader since his earlier days as a university student leader at the University of Nairobi, he has gathered extensive experience that qualifies him to run for the top seat.
Further, Babu pointed out that his Kiharu counterpart, who was recently ousted as the chairperson of the influential Budget and Appropriations Committee, is a performer and would be a formidable counterpart in the race.
