Mandera County Governor Mohamed Adan Khalif has outlined his development agenda during his annual address to the County Assembly, reaffirming his administration's commitment to a people-centered approach in peacebuilding among the pastoralist community.

In his detailed 52-page address, Governor Khalif emphasized the importance of collaboration between county institutions, crediting this partnership for enabling the successful implementation of numerous projects across the region. "Our collective efforts have driven visible progress in Mandera, from supporting pastoralists to improving infrastructure and enhancing cross-border relations," Governor Khalif stated.

His address focused on supporting the pastoralist community, a cornerstone of Mandera's economy and intensifying efforts in fodder production, distribution, and livestock health.

Meanwhile, he revealed that the county government had facilitated the distribution of 90,700 bags of range cubes, a critical intervention that improved livestock nutrition during prolonged dry spells. "These range cubes helped sustain livestock health and prevented significant losses, especially during the dry season," he said.
