State Department for ASALs and Regional Development principal secretary Kello Harsama is on a deliberate effort to tackle idleness and develop talent in sports among youths in Marsabit County.
Many youths are reportedly not in employment, which exposes them to the danger of indulging in drug abuse and other unlawful activities.
Harsama, through his Kello Harsama Foundation, has embarked on a mission to mobilise youths into forming football clubs in all wards in the county and which he intends to offer support by providing sporting gear.
Speaking on his behalf, the personal assistant Wako Galgallo pointed out that the sports potential among local youths was big and which required to be tapped.
