Residents of Emurua Dikirr constituency have a reason to celebrate after local leaders' announced resumption of construction of  major roads in the county.

Speaking during a community event in Emurua Dikirr, Narok Governor, Patrick Ole Ntutu announced the resumption of construction of key roads in the area.

Governor Ntutu acknowledged delays that had hampered road construction progress earlier in the year despite the deployment of county machinery. "Despite deploying our county road machinery to Emurua Dikirr earlier in the year, the intended works have not been satisfactorily completed due to unavoidable circumstances," Governor Ntutu said. "I am happy to announce that we are now resuming the work in earnest, targeting the upgrade of 100 kilometers of road per ward across the county." The governor also outlined plans to diversify economic opportunities to boost family livelihoods, especially targeting women and youth in the area through sustainable empowerment initiatives, promising a shift towards dignified sources of income.

During the occasion, Emurua Dikirr, Member of Parliament, Johana Ngeno, handed over seven school buses to various learning institutions across the constituency and disbursed bursaries worth Sh 46 million from the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF), ahead of schools reopening on Monday.
