Administration Police Service (APS) Bomet Football Club has reinforced its squad by signing in five new players, in readiness for the second leg of the 2024/25 National Super League (NSL) encounter.
The Bomet County-based club, which currently ranks second on the NSL table with 40 points, one point behind leaders Nairobi United, is hopeful that the new signings will bolster their chances of securing promotion to the Kenya Premier League (KPL) at the end of the season.
The newly signed players, who come from various clubs, include Kimutai Felix (APS Division Two), Felix Seda (Nzoia Sugar), Peter Mwaura (Police FC) and John Mabia (Fortune Sacco).
Speaking during the unveiling ceremony at Bomet IAAF Stadium, APS Bomet CEO Chief Inspector Rose Chemutai emphasized the importance of strengthening the team, particularly in attack and defense, which she noted were areas of concern in the first leg. `"We identified our weak areas in the first half of the season, and that's why we have brought in these players to reinforce our squad.
